WEST TOWN — Dancing returned to Chicago Avenue in West Town this weekend.

Beauty Bar, 1444 W. Chicago Ave., reopened its dance floor Friday, according to an Instagram post, instructing patrons to “dress to sweat.”

The West Town club known for an eclectic array of themed music nights initially reopened in late May with table seating. At the time, managing partner Rene Romero said he looked forward to the day the bar’s iconic dance floor would fully reopen.

“Nightclubbing or bar mingling isn’t high on a priority list, but these places for congregating and socializing are so important to getting back to feeling a semblance of normalcy,” he said. “We want to be that for people. … Everyone needs a little bit of nostalgia. Everyone needs a little bit of escapism.”
