Evette's All Day builds on the first two Evette's restaurants by adding a daily brunch menu available until 2 p.m. and new dishes.

The book and coffee shop will host script readings and other events with local theaters.

Magnifico, which was brought to life through a city grant, serves Colombian coffee roasted on-site along with Colombian treats such as churros and pandebono con guava.

The event venue and riverside patio are opening just in time for Burning Bush Brewery’s third anniversary.

Owners Gosia Pieniazek and Artur Wnorowski also run two other barbecue spots and previously ran the Lokal restaurants. Both have long ties to the Wicker Park area.

The two-story Halsted Street spot is the hip-hop noodle shop's fourth location in Chicago.

The bar will host a flip cup tournament, trivia nights and, of course, a St. Patrick's Day bash. The pop-up runs Friday through the end of March.

The Chicago-based chain, which also has locations in Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Dallas, opened the Wicker Park location in 2017.

Small Cheval is a spinoff of the famed Au Cheval. The Wrigleyville outpost will have a full-service bar and private dining room.

Both locations will close April 19. Intelligentsia decided against renewing their leases due to slow traffic and high expenses, a company official said.

Participating restaurants include Big Jones, Anteprima and Parson's Chicken & Fish.

Neighbors and performers said they will miss the bar, and they hope the new owners will keep it running as one of the area's few live performance venues.

The owners long planned to consolidate Buona Terra with Hearth & Crust on Irving Park Road, but pandemic-related staffing shortages pushed them to move forward more quickly.

Southside Market will stock its shelves with products sold by local Black and Brown entrepreneurs, sell fresh cafe menu items and give out recipes to shoppers.

"My customers have been very supportive, patient and loyal," owner Jackie Jackson said. "I'm very excited about bringing this for the community."

El Rincón De Fabio opened in late January on Uptown's Argyle Street, the latest non-Asian restaurant to come to the Asia on Argyle district.

Owners Irene Acosta and Miguel Hernandez opened their restaurant in McKinley Park in 2019. They closed it last year to begin working on their new spot in Pilsen.

The Milwaukee Avenue bar serves American comfort food with an Asian twist, such as cheeseburger egg rolls and Italian beef fried rice.

Co-owners and spouses Deon Benito-Cardillo and Oreste Cardillo are closing their Lakeview bakery to focus on a pie restaurant opening soon in Michigan.
