CHICAGO — Chicagoans can expect a combination of rainy stretches and sunny skies throughout the week.

Conditions are already wet outside, with rain overnight leading to flooding under some Downtown overpasses and large puddles on streets Monday.

There’s a slight chance of showers throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service. Clouds will gradually clear overnight.

Tuesday will dry up a bit with sunny skies and a daytime high near 70 degrees, according to the weather agency. But there’s a chance of showers again overnight.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny during the day, with a high reaching 76 degrees — before chances of showers and thunderstorms again overnight.

There’s a good chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday to cut through balmy conditions, with daytime highs nearing 80 degrees.

More showers and possibly a thunderstorm could hit overnight and continue into Friday, which looks to be mostly cloudy with a high near 72 degrees. There could be more rain Friday night.
