CHICAGO — Neighbors have another chance to get free gas and groceries this weekend thanks to businessman and formal mayoral candidate Willie Wilson.

Wilson announced on Facebook this week that the “Dr. Willie Wilson Gas Giveaway” will begin 7 a.m. on Saturday. Gas will be first-come first-served until the funds for each gas station is exhausted.

Each participant in the giveaway will get $50 in gas. The gas stations are located all across the city, but mostly on the South and West sides.

He then added a grocery giveaway as well, announcing the event on Facebook. Coupons for $25 worth of groceries will be handed out at four select grocery stores, with varying start times, until supplies run out.

Wilson has previously held several giveaways for gas and groceries. He also gave away masks during the pandemic.
