BUCKTOWN — Developer Sterling Bay has partnered with Lincoln Square’s Davis Theater to bring holiday films to a big outdoor screen.

Holiday Classics at The Drive-In, a seven-night series of family-friendly holiday films, is scheduled for Dec. 10-26 at The Drive-In at Lincoln Yards.

All films start at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. Masks or facial coverings are required.

The drive-in is located on the Bucktown side of the riverfront Lincoln Yards development, near the corner of Wabansia Avenue and Throop Street. The theater is adjacent to Fleet Fields, Lincoln Yards’ soccer fields at 1397 W. Wabansia Ave. 

The schedule:

  • Dec. 11: “Home Alone”
  • Dec. 12: “Elf”
  • Dec. 17: “Gremlins”
  • Dec. 18: “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”
  • Dec. 19: “A Christmas Story”
  • Dec. 26: “Die Hard” 

Movie-goers will be able to buy wreath-making kits, garlands and other holiday greenery from Plant Truck Chicago during the screenings.

Tickets are $35 per car and can be bought online. Customers can join a waitlist if a film sells out.
