Michael Keaton plays the titular character in "Beetlejuice."

CHICAGO — A “Beetlejuice”-themed pop-up will take visitors on scavenger hunts and more when it opens later this month.

House of Beetle will be a Halloween pop-up bar inspired by “Beetlejuice,” the hit 1988 Tim Burton film. It’s set to open Oct. 17 at the Bassline in the South Loop.

The pop-up will be open Oct. 17-Nov. 1 at the Bassline, 2239 S. Michigan Ave. Its hours will be 4 p.m.-midnight Monday-Wednesday, 4 p.m.-1 a.m. Thursday-Friday, 2 p.m.-2 a.m. Saturday and 2 p.m.-midnight Sunday.
