CHICAGO — A 33-year-old man was shot by a robber Thursday morning in West Ridge.
At 9:13 a.m., the man was in the 2800 block of West Devon Avenue when someone with a gun came up to him and robbed him, police said. The victim turned over his money, but the two then got into a fight.
A shot was fired during the fight and the 33-year-old was hit in his left hand.
He was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
The gunman ran off. No one was in custody and an investigation was ongoing.
