JEFFERSON PARK — Police issued an alert Thursday after a series of burglaries were reported this month. 

The break-ins happened at both single-family homes and apartments and police say items stolen included jewelry, cash and video games.

These burglaries happened in the:

• 4500 block of North Narragansett Avenue between 12:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Sep. 3
• 5100 block of North Mason Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. Sept. 12
• 4500 block of North Moody Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. Sept. 17
• 4800 block of North Merrimac Avenue between 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Sept. 17
• 5300 block of North Moody Avenue at 2:26 p.m. Sept. 25

The person or persons who stole the items entered the homes through windows and doors and police are advising people to make sure all doors and windows in their home are locked.
