CHICAGO — A wild stretch of weather is continuing with another swing in Chicagoans’ favor: A perfect, sun-filled weekend is on the horizon.

Saturday will be sunny with some winds and a high near 62 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

And Sunday will be sunny, breezy and even warmer, with a high near 69 degrees, according to the weather service.

Chicago is still on pace to have its warmest February on record, according to the Sun-Times. Some Chicagoans have dubbed the phenomenon “fake spring.”

As beloved WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling called it a career Wednesday night, Chicago experienced three seasons of weather within 24 hours, seeing record-high temperatures before rain, snow and chilly weather hit.

Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for the start of next week.
