WEST LOOP — Malibu Barbie is coming to Chicago this summer with an immersive dining experience Downtown.

Mattel and Bucket Listers have teamed up to launch pop-up cafes in Chicago and New York City so people can dine like a doll in life-size fashion. The pop-up at 324 S. Racine Ave. in the West Loop will run June 7-Sept. 15.

The cafe’s menu has adult and kid versions and was created by “Master Chef” semi-finalist Becky Brown. Food includes Barbie-inspired fare like Pacific Paradise Pancakes, West Coast Wedge Salad and a California Dreamin’ Club Sandwich.

Cocktails include the Think Pink Margarita, French “71” and Beach Mojito.

The restaurant’s decor is inspired by ’70s Malibu California with a “sea of poptimisitc Barbie colors” and retro glam, according to a news release. The immersive space also features photo ops, including a life-sized Barbie Box, exclusive merchandise and a Malibu Barbie beach scene.

Tickets are required and start at $22-$30 for kids and $39-$49 for adults. Each ticket is good for a 90-minute table reservation, an entree and side item and full access to the cafe. Additional cocktails, shared plates and desserts are available at extra cost.
