LOGAN SQUARE — A family-friendly festival dedicated to all things October is taking over Logan Square’s Unity Park this weekend.

Unity Park Advisory Council is behind PumpkinFest, set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Unity Park, 2636 N. Kimball Ave.

Families can expect a pumpkin patch, a photo booth, TikTok dance lessons and music at the free event. A costume parade is set for noon. Popcorn and cider will be provided.

Pumpkins will be available while supplies last.

For 20 years, Unity Park Advisory Council has hosted a pumpkin festival with a pumpkin patch and decoration stations in the lead-up to Halloween. But last year’s event was canceled because of the pandemic. Instead, the park group handed out pumpkins and craft bags so kids could decorate at home.
