CHICAGO — The White Sox have unveiled a beer made in collaboration with Goose Island, a first for the South Side team.

The beer, dubbed Sox Golden Ale, will be available during the upcoming season. The “easy-drinking, refreshing golden ale” has notes of cereal with honeysuckle and a “subtle fruitiness,” according to a news release.

The beer is “the perfect pairing for some all-American baseball,” according to its creators.

Though designs for the beer cans and boxes have not yet been finalized, early renderings show them as black and white with logos for the Sox and Goose Island. The renderings also show the iconic scoreboard pinwheels on the boxes.

The team will reveal the beer at SoxFest on Friday.

Opening Day is March 26.
