DOWNTOWN — Students kept out of class during the Chicago Teachers Union strike can instead go to the Field Museum for free Tuesday.

The museum, 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive, is offering free basic admission to students and accompanying adults all day Tuesday as long as they prove they live in the city, according to a museum news release.

There will also be discounts on the museum’s All-Access and Discovery passes.

The museum is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with admission ending at 4 p.m.

Children 13 or younger must have an adult present.

The teachers strike is now in its ninth day.
