CHICAGO — A thief stole scooters or mopeds from two people last week in Bucktown, police said.

In both incidents, the thief took parked scooters or mopeds and took off, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The thefts occurred:

  • at 5 p.m. Sept. 26-9:45 a.m. Sept. 27 in the 1900 block of West Wabansia Avenue
  • at 10 a.m. Sept. 28-6 p.m. Sept. 29 in the 1800 block of West Wabansia Avenue

No description of the thief was available.

Anyone with information about the scooter thefts was asked to call police at 312-744-8263.
