BUCKTOWN — Tricycle Chicago will be opening on Friday in the former Silver Cloud Bar & Grill at 1700 N. Damen Ave. — not on Thursday as previously announced.
“Brought to you by the team from Sheffield’s Beer & Wine Garden, we’re excited to welcome all of our friends and neighbors, old and new, to Tricycle Chicago!” the owners said in a news release.

Tricycle Chicago will initially open at 3 p.m. daily for drinks and 4 p.m. for dinner. A weekend brunch and weekday lunch will be added in the coming weeks.
Those who loved Silver Cloud can expect the same comfort food emphasis. Menu highlights from chef Clint Walt will include sumac-dusted lamb chops with minted pea hummus, blackberry BBQ meatballs and chicken potpie, the latter a different recipe than the space’s predecessor.

According to the news release, “classic cocktails with a twist” will be featured. The wine list will showcase boutique vineyards. Sheffield’s beer director, Mark Tolliver, curated the beer program. See the full beverage menu here [PDF]
The interior features the original speakeasy bar under a vintage tin ceiling. Custom pop art by artist Joe Pellegrini and original illustrations by artist James C. Smith adorn the walls.
