WICKER PARK — Legendary makeup artist Bobbi Brown is opening a Chicago store for her Jones Road brand.
Jones Road Beauty, 1655 N. Damen Ave., opens Monday on the Wicker Park-Bucktown border. It’s the first Midwest location for Brown’s company, which she launched in 2020.
One of the most famous names in the makeup world, Brown founded her eponymous beauty company, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, in the early ’90s, which she later sold and left in 2016, according to CNN.
The Wicker Park Jones Road store is something of a homecoming for Brown, who grew up in Wilmette and still has family members in the Chicago area, according to a press release.
“It’s not only where I grew up. It’s also where I was first encouraged to pursue a career
in makeup, which, over the last 40 years, has taken me across the US and all over the world,” Brown said in a statement. “I’m excited to return to my Midwestern roots, see my family and friends here, and bring Jones Road to the Chicago area.”
The company’s inventory includes makeup and other products with an emphasis on “inclusive beauty for all ages, skin types and skin tones.”
Jones Road is taking over the storefront previously home to a branch of the Rains clothing boutique.
Jones Road also operates stores in New York City, Montclair, New Jersey, East Hampton, New York and Palm Beach, Florida. The Chicago Jones Road location will host live events and makeup workshops, according to the press release.
Jones Road’s Chicago store is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sundays.
