BUCKTOWN — Monthly trivia nights at The Hideout return this week, with topics including current events and Chicago history.

Hideout trivia starts 6 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month for September, October and November at the bar and music venue, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave.

Each month features a theme related to Chicago. September’s theme is “Working for the Weekend” and will include questions related to the city’s labor movements.

Hideout trivia began as a virtual series in 2021 during the pandemic, before moving to in-person last July.

It’s hosted in partnership with the Chicago History Museum and Newberry Library. Local musicians Lily Emerson and Charlie Malave will provide music throughout the event.

Participants can play in up to teams of six, with prizes awarded to the teams coming in first, second and third.

Admission is $10-$25 on a sliding scale, with all proceeds from the events benefitting Chicago nonprofit My Block, My Hood, My City.

Tickets and more information is available on the Hideout’s website.
