CHICAGO — The city’s outdoor public pools will reopen this month.

Park District outdoor swimming pools and spray pools will open June 25, spokeswoman Michele Lemons said in an email. There won’t be any coronavirus restrictions at the pools.

The pools and some park’s water features were closed last year due to the pandemic, and some residents had worried they wouldn’t return this summer. But Chicago fully reopened Friday, with officials lifting capacity limits and other restrictions as they try to return to a new “normal.”

This year’s outdoor pool season will run through Sept. 6. The Park District has 49 outdoor pools and 28 indoor pools. Here’s a complete list with their hours.

The Park District’s indoor pools have been open, though with restrictions like asking people to sign up in advance for socially distanced lap swims.
