WEST LOOP — After opening its season late because of the coronavirus pandemic, Green City Market will run until November at its West Loop and Lincoln Park locations.
The popular outdoor farmers market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays through Nov. 21 at Mary Bartleme Park, 115 S. Sangamon St.
It will operate Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon at Lincoln Park until Nov. 21. The market is located at the south end of the park between Clark and Stockton Drive.
The market, which opened in mid-June, will continue adhering to its coronavirus guidelines requiring shoppers to wear masks when entering the market.
Ellis Family Farms, Nichols Farm & Orchard, River Valley Ranch and Finn’s Ranch are among the vendors at the West Loop location.
“Connecting sustainable farmers with the Chicago community is at the heart of our nonprofit’s mission,” executive director Melissa Flynn said. “The market’s extension will allow Green City Market to continue to be the uplifting place where Chicagoans safely connect, face-to-face, with the farmers growing their nourishing food.”
