CHICAGO — A South Loop bar is throwing a tongue-in-cheek fundraiser for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

SX Sky Bar wanted to “help” the royal couple after the two announced they were going to “step back” as “senior” members of the royal family and attempt to become financially independent, according to a news release. The bar even set up a GoFundMe with a goal of raising $10 million for the pair.

“We imagine there may be a bit of a culture shock once they leave Kensington Palace,” said Matthew McCahill, the bar’s Food and Beverage director. “We would love to use the proceeds to enroll them in classes to give them a refresher on some basic things we all have to do, like how to file taxes, prep meals and wash dishes.”

Of course, the Sussexes are still fabulously wealthy — so the fundraiser will actually benefit the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund to help people impacted by wildfires in Australia.

All proceeds from the GoFundMe will be donated to the relief organization.

The bar is also offering three Champagne cocktails themed around the Sussexes: the Megxit, Big Markle Energy and Spill the (Royal) Tea. A portion of proceeds from sales of the cocktails will be donated to the Australian Red Cross Relief Fund. The drinks cost $14.

SX Sky Bar is open 4 p.m.-midnight Tuesday-Thursday, 4 p.m.-2 am. Friday, 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at 808 S. Michigan Ave.
