The developer’s proposal, first reported by Crain’s, calls for a driving range called Drive Shack that includes a restaurant, bar and indoor entertainment amenities.

Currently, Drive Shack has locations in Orlando; Richmond, Virginia; West Palm Beach, Florida; and Raleigh, North Carolina.

The 9.3-acre project would sit on the western edge of the Chicago River and requires a zoning change.
