LOGAN SQUARE — A new holistic healing studio offering everything from massage therapy to “energy work” has joined the neighborhood.

Intuit Healing opened at 2514 W. Armitage Ave., Suite 211 earlier this month.

Behind the studio is 32-year-old Logan Square resident Cameron Lacy, who has been practicing holistic healing for about a decade.

Lacy said the new studio, her first brick-and-mortar location, is not a traditional spa; it’s for people of all ages and backgrounds seeking alternative forms of healing.

“It’s not a generic, one size fits all. It’s all customized to the individual. You have a personal relationship with every clinician or practitioner you work with,” she said.

Lacy’s studio offers massages starting at $100 an hour and “energy work” starting at $50 an hour. The “energy work” uses Reiki and Craniosacral therapy to “realign the mind, body and spirit with compassion,” according to Intuit’s website.

Shiatsu therapy, a form of Japanese bodywork, and skincare services are also available from other practitioners who rent out the space.

Lacy, a Peoria, Ill. native, said she designed the studio to be a respite from city life.

“Everything’s busy around here, but when you come into the space, it’s tucked in a corner and everyone feels at home,” she said. “I want you to stop, just for a minute. Even if you’re here for an hour service, you should be able to give yourself a reprieve from everything going on in your life.”

Above all else, she said, “We just want people to take care of themselves.”
