HUMBOLDT PARK — A 47-year-old woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run in Humboldt Park Saturday night, police said.

The woman was waiting to cross the street in the 3600 block of West Division Street at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday when she was hit by a speeding driver in a red two-door Honda, according to police.

After hitting the woman, the driver drove off eastbound on Division Street, police said.

The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she is listed in critical condition. She is being treated for multiple broken bones and internal bleeding, police said.

No further information was available Monday. Detectives are continuing to investigate.
