At 11:57 p.m., the four men were in a car driving north in the 2500 block of North Lake Shore Drive — just north of Fullerton — when someone pulled alongside them and fired shots, police said.

The shooters drove off and the victims got off at Belmont and drove to a parking lot in the 3200 block of North Broadway, where they called police.

A 20-year-old man was hit in his chest and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another 20-year-old man was hit in his left shoulder and a 26-year-old man was hit in his head and torso, police said. They were taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in critical condition.

A fourth victim, a 22-year-old man, was hit in his face, chest and arm and was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, police said.

No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
