CHICAGO — Two shootings left four people wounded Thursday night in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood, police said.

During the most recent shooting, at 11:38 p.m., a man and a teen boy were standing on the sidewalk in the 2200 block of West 21st Street when two people walked up to them and fired shots, police said.

The man, 24, was hit in his back and he was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. The boy, 16, was hit in his left foot and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.

Earlier in the night, at 8:15 p.m., a 16-year-old boy and a 36-year-old woman were standing on the sidewalk in the 2000 block of West 23rd Street when someone drove up to them and a person in the car fired shots, police said.

The teen was hit in his upper back and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. The woman was hit in her right thigh and right hand and she was taken to Stroger Hospital, where her condition was not available but she was listed as “stable,” police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings. Investigations were ongoing.
