CHICAGO — Independently owned record store chain Reckless Records is moving its Lakeview store to a new location.

The record shop, which also has locations in Wicker Park and the Loop, has operated a store on North Broadway for 30 years, according to social media posts from Reckless Records. But it’ll close that shop and move a half-mile away to 929 W. Belmont Ave.

The new Belmont location will open later this week.

Reckless Records sells CDs, DVDs, video games and other items.

Reckless Records moved its Wicker Park shop from 1532 N. Milwaukee Ave. to a bigger storefront at 1379 N. Milwaukee Ave. in 2015.

Founded in 1982, Reckless Records has operated in Chicago since 1988 and has shops in Wicker Park, Lakeview and Downtown.
