WEST LOOP — A developer will present plans for a six-story development to neighbors at a community meeting Wednesday in the West Loop.
Firm 1123 Randolph LLC, which includes Interra Realty, aims to build a mixed-use condo and commercial building at 1123 W. Randolph St. They’ll pitch plans at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Catalyst Ranch, 656 W. Randolph St., on the building’s third floor.
If approved, the new building would be 69 feet tall and include 3,756 square feet of commercial space, nine condos and nine bicycle parking spaces at May and Randolph streets, according to a zoning application filed with the city last fall. The site is currently a parking lot.
Because the property is less than 1,320 feet from the Morgan Green Line CTA station, developers are seeking a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) designation for the development, which would allow for a reduced parking requirement, according to the paperwork filed with the city.
HKS Architects would design the building.
Developers are seeking a zoning change from a DX-3 Downtown Mixed-Use District to a DX-5 Downtown Mixed-Use District.
The West Loop Community Organization and Ald. Walter Burnett Jr. (27th) will co-host the meeting.
