WRIGLEYVILLE — A limited-edition talking bobblehead of Cubs announcer Pat Hughes has been released to mark the anniversary of the team’s historic World Series win in 2016.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame unveiled the bobblehead of Hughes, the radio play-by-play announcer for the Cubs, in a Friday announcement. The bobblehead shows Hughes sitting behind a desk, microphone in hand. It’s now available for pre-order online, and only 2,016 of the bobbleheads will be available to honor the team’s win.

The bobblehead will speak at the push of a button, repeating Hughes’ famous call as the Cubs won the World Series:

“A little bouncer slowly toward Bryant. He will glove it and throw to Rizzo. It’s in time! And the Chicago Cubs win the World Series! The Cubs come pouring out of the dugout, jumping up and down like a bunch of delirious 10-year-olds. The Cubs have done it!”

Hughes has been a baseball announcer for nearly four decades and has done play-by-play for the Cubs since 1996.

A limited number of bobbleheads can be ordered for $45 if needed before Christmas. Bobbleheads can also be ordered for $40, though those won’t be delivered until January. Bobbleheads are only available online.
