GOLD COAST— Studs, an ear-piercing studio for Gen Z and millennial crowds, is opening its first Chicago location in Gold Coast.
The studio, 1165 N. State St., opens Nov. 8 and will be the company’s 20th location nationwide. Studs was launched in 2019 by co-founders Anna Harman and Lisa Bubber.
Studs specializes in ear piercings, aiming to give customers a high-quality piercing experience in a vibrant studio.
The company calls itself “the authority on Earscaping®“, or the art and science around personalizing ear piercing and earring stacking. The term is used to describe the “journey of customizing” earrings to your own style, according to the company website.
Customers can get personalized consultations from Studs piercing experts, who can advise what works best for someone’s “ear anatomy.” Anyone 13 and older is eligible for a piercing.
In celebration of its first Chicago location, Studs is launching two Chicago Earscape sets, which will be available in-store in early December.

Appointments can be booked online. Walk-ins are also welcome. Studs will be open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily.
