RAVENSWOOD — The owners of Land & Lake Ravenswood are closing the restaurant a little more than a year after opening.
Sunday will be the final day of service at Land & Lake Ravenwood, 1970 W. Montrose Ave. Owners LM Restaurant Group made the announcement Wednesday on Instagram.
“We have loved being a part of your celebrations and visiting with you over bubbly brunch and happy hour on the fabulous rooftop. Most of all we have enjoyed having you as our neighbors; the Lincoln Square, Ravenswood and North Center communities are truly one of a kind,” the owners wrote in the post.
When it opened last year, Land & Lake Ravenswood was LM Restaurant Group’s third location, following outposts in Andersonville and Downtown. Land & Lake in Andersonville closed in July.
The group’s portfolio also includes Grant Park Bistro in the South Loop’s Le Meridien Essex Hotel and River North Bistro on the ground floor of Eurostars Mag Mile Hotel in River North.
Land & Lake Ravenswood opened in 2022 after owners renovated, adding more seating and upgrades to the rooftop patio, including a dumbwaiter that enabled customers to enjoy the restaurant’s full menu while seated there.
LM Communications Director Lauren Hammond said the owners decided to close and sell the restaurant to focus on their hotel restaurants, including Evanston Corner Bistro, opening Oct. 13 at the Hilton Orrington in suburban Evanston.
“We’re sad to be leaving such a great neighborhood. The Lincoln Square [and] Ravenswood community is fabulous,” Hammond said.
The Montrose property was previously home to the gastropub Fountainhead, which closed in 2020 after 10 years in the neighborhood.
