GRANT PARK — Lollapalooza is back.
The mega music festival runs Thursday through Sunday in Grant Park and is expected to bring hundreds of thousands of people Downtown.
Lollapalooza will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. all four days.

Tickets
Unlike last year, almost all of the ticket’s available on Lollaplalooza’s website are sold out. People are still able to join the waitlist for a variety of tickets.
Some Saturday general admission tickets are still available for $135. Four-day VIP passes are also available starting at $1,600 with One-day VIP starting at $550.
A variety of tickets that are sold out on Lollapalooza’s website can be bought through a verified resale link on Ticketmaster.
How To Get In
Attendees can enter Grant Park at the main entrance by by Michigan Avenue and Ida B. Wells Drive or at the north entrance at Columbus and Monroe Street.
Everyone will be subjected to security screenings which include bag searches, magnetometer screenings and pat-downs.
To enter, attendees must have their wristbands on their right wrist to be able to scan in. There are no paper or physical tickets.
People can bring small, clear bags; fanny packs and clutch purses with one pocket, according to the city. No outside liquids are allowed on-site. Free water will be provided at hydration stations across festival grounds.
Hydration packs are allowed and do not need to be clear, but must be emptied of all liquid and have no more than two pockets in addition to the one holding the water reservoir, according to the festival.
Anyone can leave and re-enter the festival two additional times after entering. Attendees will scan their wristband and pass through security each time they re-enter the festival.
Street Closures
- Balbo Drive from Columbus Drive to DuSable Lake Shore Drive will be closed through Aug. 13. The Balbo closing extends to Michigan Avenue from 8 p.m. Monday through Aug. 7.
- Jackson Drive from Columbus to DuSable Lake Shore Drive is closed through Aug. 12. Jackson’s closing extends to Michigan Avenue from 8 p.m. Monday through Aug. 7
- Columbus from Monroe to Roosevelt will be closed at 8 p.m. Monday through Aug. 7. Additional northbound center lanes on Columbus from 13th Street to Roosevelt Road will be closed from 8 p.m. Monday till Aug. 7.
- Congress Parkway/Circle will be closed from Michigan to Columbus from 8 p.m. Monday through Aug. 7.
- Monroe Street from Michigan to DuSable Lake Shore Drive will be closed from 6:30 a.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Aug. 7.
