JEFFERSON PARK — Jeff Fest Arts & Music Festival returns to Jefferson Memorial Park the first week of August with an array of local talent and food.
The event will be Aug. 4-6 at the park, 4822 N. Long Ave. Now in its 22nd year, the summer festival features live music, food, a kids zone and more. It will be open 5-10 p.m. Aug. 4 and 2-10 p.m. Aug. 5-6.
Tickets are $7. Proceeds benefit the Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce and the park’s advisory council.
Event company Special Events Management is bringing citywide artists to the main stage, while neighborhood group Jefferson Park Forward is organizing the community stage, which will feature local acts from the area on all three days.
Main stage acts include The Buckinghams, Kashmir, School of Rock, Tom Petty and Pink Floyd tribute bands and more.
The community stage, located near the kids corner, will have sets by The Prime, Surgery Cult, Shannon Candy + Friends, Vang and others. The full lineup is available online.
Like in previous years, Sunday’s community stage will feature performances by students from the Chicago Music and Acting Academy, the Chicago Ballet Center, the Filament Theater and the Jefferson Park Songwriters Group.
Jefferson Park Forward is looking for volunteers to work the beer tent for the festival. Those interested can sign up online.
