LAKEVIEW — Waterhouse Tavern & Grill has closed after 18 years in Lakeview, but the owners are promising something “exciting” in its place.

Fans of Waterhouse, 3407 N. Paulina St., flocked to the bar and restaurant Saturday for one final hurrah after its owners announced last week it would be closing.

“Thank you all for sending us off with a true celebration this past week and weekend!” the bar wrote in an Instagram post. “Wow, it was a memorable one and so amazing to see the faces from the past 18+ years.”

Waterhouse Tavern & Grill has been there to celebrate the Cubs’ 2016 World Series win, three Stanley Cup wins by the Blackhawks, and countless Purdue basketball and football wins, the bar wrote on social media.

Although the restaurant is closing, its owners, who also own Country Club in the neighborhood, promised to announce something new for the location soon.

“We cannot thank our customers enough for an amazing run, and we can’t wait to see you again!” stated a Waterhouse Instagram post. “Stay tuned!! We have some exciting news to share soon!”
