Beyoncé is set to perform Saturday and Sunday at Soldier Field as part of her “Renaissance Tour,” which kicked off its U.S. leg last week in Philadelphia.
From drag brunches to trivia nights and concert afterparties, there are a number of ways to celebrate Queen Bey’s return to Chicago. Block Club rounded up several events for the Beyhive to party.
Beyoncé Trivia At Sidetrack
8 p.m. Tuesday
Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted St.
Beyoncé super-fans can put their knowledge of the star to the test at Sidetrack’s Renaissance edition of its weekly Trivia Tuesday night. The grand prize is a gift card to neighboring business the Men’s Room.
Spray Paint And Sip – Beyoncé Takeover
7-9 p.m. Friday
Studio W.I.P., 3527 W. Grand Ave.
Studio W.I.P. is celebrating the Renaissance Tour’s stop in Chicago with a Beyoncé-themed edition of its Spray Paint and Sip event.
The hosts will play the Renaissance Tour setlist while artists teach visitors how to use indoor-quality spray paint on a 16-by-20-inch canvas or tote bag. Beyoncé-themed stencils and other items will be provided.
Tickets cost $45. The event is BYOB.
Renaissance Pre-Party At Scarlet
7:30 p.m. Friday-2 a.m. Saturday
Scarlet, 3320 N. Halsted St.
Scarlet in Northalsted is kicking off Renaissance Weekend by playing Beyoncé’s latest album front-to-back at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday. After, DJ Brryce Fersher will exclusively play Beyoncé until the bar closes at 2 a.m.
Beyoncé Drag Brunch At Macy’s Walnut Room
11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday
Macy’s Walnut Room, 111 N. State St.
Chicago drag superstar Lucy Stoole is hosting a drag brunch celebrating Beyoncé’s latest album at the historic Macy’s Walnut Room.
There will be two separate shows with tickets costing $20 per person. Each ticket is for one seat, and orders of four or more will receive their own table. Smaller groups might be seated with other guests.
Kevin Aviance’s CVNTY Ball at Roscoe’s
11 p.m. Saturday
Roscoe’s, 3356 N. Halsted St.
Nightlife legend Kevian Aviance, who Beyoncé samples on her song “Pure/Honey,” is going on their own tour following Renaissance around the country. Aviance will stop at Roscoe’s in Northalsted after Queen B’s Saturday show.
Advance tickets will not be sold for this event.
Beyoncé Afterparty At Cole’s Bar
10 p.m. Saturday
Cole’s Bar, 2338 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Cole’s Bar in Logan Square is throwing an afterparty for Beyoncé’s Saturday show. The free dance party will feature DJ Mobeethicc.
Club Renaissance Concert Afterparty
Sunday. 9 p.m. doors. 9:30 p.m. show.
Schubas Tavern, 3159 N. Southport Ave.
Local talents Miss Toto and Pepper Jelly are hosting an unofficial concert afterparty, featuring a star-studded lineup of Chicago drag performers.
Beyoncé fans can catch drag performances to her music by Dida Ritz, Lila Star Escada, BoyJ and Siichele from the Haus of Gaynz, Chanel Mercedes Benz and drag king Lúc Ami.
Early-bird tickets cost $20 and are almost sold out. Prices go up to $25 for people who buy them in advance or at the door.
Renaissance Afterparty At Scarlet
7:30 p.m. Sunday-2 a.m. Monday
Scarlet, 3320 N. Halsted St.
Scarlet in Northalsted is also hosting a Renaissance afterparty for Beyoncé’s Sunday show. The bar will excluvisely play Beyoncé’s music until close.
Scarlet has gone all out for Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour stop in Chicago, also organizing a party bus for fans to get to the show Sunday.
Beyoncé Sunday Funday After Dark At Sidetrack
10 p.m. Sunday
Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted St.
Famed LGBTQ+ bar Sidetrack is throwing a Beyoncé edition of its weekly Sunday Funday After Dark night. Fans can sing along to Beyoncé’s concert performances and music videos and enjoy drag performances by host Allura The Doll.
The party goes from 10 p.m. Sunday-2 a.m. Monday.
