UPTOWN — Pride Parade attendees can expect rain and a chance of thunderstorms as they make their way through Uptown and Lakeview this weekend.

The start of the weekend looks pleasant with sunshine, light winds and an expected high of 81 degrees Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday, however, is likely to bring showers and thunderstorms, according to the weather service. There’s a 70 percent chance of rain as early as 10 a.m. — two hours before the 52nd annual Pride Parade kicks off.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 81 degrees Sunday and will drop to the low 60s with more scattered showers by nighttime.

Showers will continue into next week with a 50 percent of rain and cloudy skies Monday, according to the weather service.
