WICKER PARK — Wicker Park Fest is returning at its full pre-pandemic size in July, featuring more than 50 musical acts and 150 local vendors.

Organized by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, the annual festival will run July 28-30 on Milwaukee Avenue between Damen and Ashland avenues.

The schedule is 5-10 p.m. July 28, and 12-10 p.m. July 29-30.

Headliners include indie rock bands like Built to Spill, The Regrettes, Speedy Ortiz and more.

Rapper Billy Woods, singer-songwriter Miloe, and R&B/soul group Say She She will also perform. The full lineup will be announced later this summer.

This year’s Wicker Park Fest will also feature a hip-hop open mic night July 29 and ’80s New Wave night July 30. Vendors include local restaurants, bookstores, vintage resellers and more.

After being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wicker Park Fest returned in scaled-back editions in 2021 and 2022. The 2023 festival will be the first year the street fest returns to its pre-pandemic size, organizers said.

“Beyond our music lineup, festival goers will also notice that Wicker Park Fest is back to full size, the first time since the pandemic. This means visitors can expect a full selection of vendors, shops and artists,” chamber director Pamela Maass said in a news release.

Admission is free, but a $10 requested entry donation benefits the chamber, which has organized the festival for almost 20 years.
