CHICAGO — Chicago could hit 80 degrees this week — and there will be plenty of sun.

The city will start off the week with an expected high of 60 degrees and partly sunny skies Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

But the clouds will largely disappear after that: Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, and it could warm up to 79 degrees, according to the weather agency. There could be wind gusts up to 15 mph.

Wednesday will be sunny but chillier, with temperatures only hitting 57 degrees.

Thursday will see temperatures jump back up, with a high of 67 and more sunny skies expected, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday will be warm — it’s expected to get as hot as 72 degrees — but there’s a chance for showers. There will be partly sunny skies.
