Daley Plaza’s Farmers Market And Summer Food Truck Festival Return This Month

Customers will be able to buy fresh produce, flowers, prepared foods and Chicago-made products at the popular farmers market.

DOWNTOWN — Daley Plaza’s farmers market and food truck festivals are returning this month.

The Daley Plaza City Market, the city’s longest-running farmers market, opens Thursday with more than 30 weekly vendors. The market is 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursdays through Oct. 26 at the plaza, 50 W. Washington St.

Customers will be able to buy fresh produce, flowers, prepared foods and Chicago-made products.

The plaza is also bringing back its weekly food truck festival. It will run 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays May 19-Oct. 6.

The food truck lineup will rotate weekly and feature eateries from around the city, according to a news release from the Department of Business and Consumer Affairs.

“The purpose of the fest is to support small businesses, our food truck industry, while creating a lively and welcoming event for residents, workers and visitors in The Loop,” events commissioner Kenneth J. Meyer said in a statement.
