New Farmers Market Launches Downtown By Union Station

The Farmer at the Green is Tuesdays at The Green at 320, a 1.5-acre park near Union Station.

DOWNTOWN — A new weekly farmers market is popping up Downtown with goods from 17 vendors.

The Green at 320 will host the Farmer at the Green market 3-7 p.m. Tuesdays through Oct. 24. The Green is a park at 320 S. Canal St. near Union Station with outdoor seating and an amphitheater.

Customers will be able to shop from a roster of local farmers, producers and artisans. There will be 17 vendors there every week in additional to special pop-up vendors.

Weekly vendors include Lyons Fruit Farm, Yang Town Farm, Fons Empanadas, Journey One Bar at a Time and Primadoria Foods. Pop-up vendors include Blossom Nutraceuticals, Katherine Anne Confections, Lit by Lex, Moody Teas, Slide Gourmet Potato Chips and Twisted Olive.

The farmers market will also have live music 4-7 p.m. The park’s first market day Tuesday will feature Walker Landgraf, a Chicago-based alternative R&B artist.

Other weekly events at The Green at 320 include free outdoor yoga and pilates classes and open mic on Mondays.

Visitors can park at 333 S. Clinton St. for a discounted rate of $10 2-10 p.m. Tuesdays for the market.
