CHICAGO — Lagunitas is reopening its West Side taproom after being closed for years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The popular brewery announced late Tuesday its taproom, 2607 W. 17th St., will soon reopen. The taproom closed in March 2020 during the stay at home order.

“We’re back, Chicago!” the brewery wrote on Instagram. “Yeah, that’s right – After 3 LONG years, we are finally re-opening our TapRoom doors…for-real-really! Stay tuned for more info.”

It’s not yet clear when the spot will reopen. Brewery leaders previously had hoped to open before the end of 2022.

The brewery was long known for its colorful tours and lively taproom, which has room for people to sit and listen to live music performances while grabbing a beer. It also had a merch store.
