GOOSE ISLAND — The Salt Shed was supposed to see its first indoor act Friday night — but the show has been postponed as performer Tove Lo is sick.

The Friday show will be rescheduled, and tickets will be valid for a future date, Tove Lo — a Swedish singer — posted on social media Friday. A venue representative said the Salt Shed will now kick off its indoor performances with Saturday’s show, which will feature Big Gigantic.

Tove Lo said she had to reschedule due to illness.

“I’m so incredibly sad to say I have to postpone these 2 shows…. This flu thing kicked my ass and my voice and the vocal doc has ordered me to stay quiet for the next few days,” Tove Lo wrote in an Instagram story. “I’m gutted, been looking forward to this SO much.”

Tickets to the Big Gigantic show are available online. The doors for that show open 7 p.m. Saturday.

“We were really excited to celebrate our opening night with Tove Lo, so this news breaks our salty little hearts,” the Salt Shed said in an Instagram post. “Let’s all hope for a speedy recovery for Tove Lo, and we’ll see you at our opening night part 2 tomorrow with Big Gigantic!”

The Salt Shed opened last summer, though it’s only been able to host outdoor shows so far. The venue, 1357 N. Elston Ave., is part of a development of the Morton Salt site. The developer’s retained the iconic Morton Salt logo that’s painted on the large shed’s roof.
