Frigid Temperatures Hit Chicago, But It’ll Warm Up Soon

Monday will have a high near 16 degrees — but wind chills will make it feel as low as one degree below zero during the day and as low as 11 degrees below zero at night.

CHICAGO — Chicagoans should prepare to bundle up for frosty temperatures in the teens this week.

Monday will have a high near 16 degrees — but wind chills will make it feel as low as one degree below zero during the day and as low as 11 degrees below zero at night, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday is expected to be sunny with a high of 16 degrees, wind chills as low as nine degrees below zero and gusts as high as 15 mph, according to the weather agency.

Wednesday will warm up a touch with a high near 28 degrees, but the wind will continue, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Thursday promises to be the warmest day of the week with sunshine and a high near 31 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 18 degrees, according to the weather agency.
