ARCHER HEIGHTS — A slate of Southwest Side aldermanic hopefuls will discuss the area’s most pressing issues at a public forum Thursday.
The forum is 7-9 p.m. Jan. 26 at Curie High School Auditorium, 4959 S. Archer Ave. and is hosted by community nonprofit The Southwest Collective.
Candidates vying for City Council seats in the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th wards are scheduled to attend:
- Ald. Anabel Abarca (12th) and challenger Julia Ramirez.
- Paul Bruton, who is challenging Ald. Marty Quinn (13th).
- Jeylu Gutiérrez, one of two candidates vying for retiring Ald. Ed Burke’s 14th Ward seat.
- Gloria Williams and Vicko Alvarez, community activists hoping to unseat Ald. Raymond Lopez (15th).
The forum is hosted by Block Club’s Madison Savedra, who covers Pilsen, Little Village, Back of the Yards and other Southwest Side neighborhoods.
