JEFFERSON PARK — A Northwest Side holiday shopping event is back this weekend and will feature stops at almost 40 local shops.
The Northwest Side holiday trolley is back noon-5 p.m. Saturday. It will take riders to 36 shops in Portage Park, Jefferson Park and Old Irving Park. The route will hit shops at Six Corners, near Montrose and Milwaukee, Irving Park Road and Austin and near Lawrence and Austin. This is the fourth year in a row it’s happened.
Organized by the Six Corners Association, trolleys will run every 15-20 minutes and can be caught at these stops:
- Irving Park Road and Meade
- Irving Park Road under The Patio Theatre marquee
- Irving Park Road and Major
- Irving Park Road and Lavergne
- Irving Park Road and Cicero
- Irving Park Road and Tripp
- Milwaukee and Cicero
- Milwaukee and Montrose
- Milwaukee and Laramie
- Jefferson Park Transit Center
- Lawrence and Marmora

Several participating businesses will have sales and holiday pop-up markets for the event, according to the event map.
Northwest Side business owners who have struggled to keep up sales and recover after a difficult few years hope a holiday boost will help them stay afloat, they previously said.
