You Can Get Your Pet Blessed In Pullman This Weekend

There will be a raffle, silent auctions from local businesses and vegan food for sale at the Sunday event.

PULLMAN — Chicagoans can have their pets blessed Sunday.

St. Anthony of Padua Church, Greenstone United Methodist Church and the Pullman Civic Organization have partnered for a Companion Animal Blessing 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Pullman Exhibit Hall grounds, 11141 S. Cottage Grove Ave.

Blessings will be bestowed upon pets at 3 p.m. by friars and reverends of the churches, according to organizers. A pet parade will immediately follow.

Representatives from animal rescue groups from CatNap from the Heart and Chicago Herpetological Society will be at the event, as well as guest speakers from the Pullman National Monument and Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation, according to organizers.

There will be a raffle, silent auctions from local businesses and vegan food for sale, according to organizers. Live music will be performed by Pullman locals Q Kiser and Sharon Quattrin.

All dogs must be leashed.
