STREETERVILLE — A man was killed and a woman was wounded in a shooting that evolved into a car chase from the West Side to Downtown Friday morning, according to Chicago police.

The sedan finally stopped at Ontario and St. Clair streets in Streeterville. The driver was shot multiple times in the torso and taken to nearby Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, where he later died. The woman was shot in her back and taken to Northwestern Hospital in good condition, police said.
No one is in custody. Area three detectives are investigating, police said.
