LAKEVIEW — Dog owners can practice yoga with their pets at the Roscoe Village Farmers Market’s upcoming “Doga” event.

The farmers market is holding various yoga activities — some of them pet-friendly — 8 a.m.-noon Saturday outside Jahn Elementary School, 3149 N. Wolcott Ave.

The day begins 8 a.m. with adult yoga classes taught by YogaSix. Online registration is required.

Doga, in which people practice traditional yoga poses with their pets, will begin at 9 a.m., according to the business chamber. The class will be taught by local yogi Gary Alexander and is open to socialized dogs of all ages. Online registration is required.

Anyone participating in yoga should bring their own mat or beach towel and a full water bottle, according to the chamber.

Throughout the day, people can bring their pets to Jahn Elementary for temporary dog tattoos, cut-out dog tags and kids’ paper crowns, courtesy of PUPS Pet Club.

Attendees can also buy pastries and quiche from pHlour Bakery & Cafe, tamales from Tamales Express and lattes from Blossom, according to the business chamber.

Additionally, Nanny Finder will host live story times throughout the event, and kids can make their own bookmarks at a station by Parents of Jahn Elementary.

More information can be found on the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce’s website.
