Roseland Churches Partner For Back-To-School Fair Saturday

There will be free food, music and a school supply giveaway for students.

Roseland Community Hospital will give away 500 backpacks with school supplies to students ranging from kindergarten to high school.

ROSELAND — Two Roseland churches are partnering for a back-to-school fair this weekend.

St. George and St. Matthias Episcopal Church, New Life Church and partners are hosting an event to welcome students back to the school year. It starts 11 a.m. Saturday between 110th and 111th Streets on Indiana Avenue, said Bill Taylor, the junior warden of St. George and St. Matthias Episocopal Church in Roseland.

There will be free food, music and giveaways of school supplies and clothes. The community is encouraged to come out to the event, Taylor said.
