LOGAN SQUARE — Masked luchadores will face off in Logan Square next month for the neighborhood’s annual Lucha Libre match.

Lucha Libre in the Park, now in its seventh year, is set for noon Sept. 3 at Unity Park, 2636 N. Kimball Ave.

Like in past years, masked wrestlers — or luchadores — will battle for the title of “champion of Logan Square,” performing acrobatic flips and other moves to a cheering crowd.

Each wrestler is either a técnico, the good guy, or a rudo, the bad guy.

The event is being hosted by the Unity Park Advisory Council.

Last year’s match, organized by traveling company Midwest Wrestling, drew more than 500 people.
