West Siders To Promote Positivity And Peace With September Bike Ride Through North Lawndale

NORTH LAWNDALE — Neighbors will bike through North Lawndale on Saturday to promote love, positivity and peace on the West Side.

This is the third year local group Boxing Out Negativity has hosted its Street Love Ride. This year’s event will feature a community expo with music, snacks and activities, as well as the bike ride.

The event starts with the community expo 5-8 p.m. Saturday across the street from St. Agatha Catholic Church, 3147 W. Douglas Blvd., according to an event listing.

After that, attendees can take part in a 9-mile bike ride around North Lawndale.

Registration for the free event can be completed online

People who want to support the event can sponsor the ride as an organization, volunteer to help or volunteer to serve on a safety squad.

Potential sponsors should complete the online partners form, while people looking to volunteer to help or serve on a squad should submit the volunteer and squad volunteer forms.
